Catch Up!

Since Mum has been in town, I’ve been harried and a little behind on posting.  Here is a sneak peek of some finished bags I’ll blog about soon! I got a new photo backdrop, but as you can see?  There are some OBVIOUS folds in that I’m still trying to smooth out.

Convertible

I ran across the Convertible Tote pattern from Mrs. H.  I wasn’t sure I liked it, to be honest.  I’m not a fan of backpacks at all.  But!  My mom asked for one.  I went through a couple patterns and decided that I really liked the techniques and construction of the Convertible and downloaded it

This is the Hippo Hobo bag from EmkieDesigns.  I love how it turned out! The fabric is by Micklyn from Spoonflower.

Instant Classic

I finished the Classic Carryall Tote from Andrie Designs! Although I really like how it turned out, especially how well I did with the zipper, I can think of a couple things I’ll for sure do differently next time!

Lily!

I’ve had the Lily Bag from Blue Calla Patterns on my ‘to do’ list for a long time.  I finally decided to just make one!  I have no idea why I stalled? I picked a really cool ‘knit’ print from Spoonflower by Chicken Boots and accented it with some purple cork.  I modified the strap

I finished the Chapel Street Shoulder Bag from Little Moo Designs this morning. I made a couple changes, though.  First of all, I made a long strap so it’s more of a cross-body, which I prefer.  Then I moved the strap tabs down, basically coping what I did on my Spizoiky bag and used some

With London in mind yesterday, I created this super simple and demure bag.  I used some incredibly geographically inaccurate Passport fabric from, featuring famous London landmarks and accented with gorgeous black Essex Linen. This is my first Abstract Tote from Little Moo Desisgns I am so in love with this bag.  Inspired by Josh Mario John, I used this red grunge plaid print in Lightweight Cotton Twill as the base and accented with the black ‘wood’ print and a custom beard print that I uploaded just for this

Ahab

I wanted to share with you some pictures of my finished Bonnie Bucket bag from Swoon.  I call this bag Ahab because of this swarthy tattooed captain here. I mad ea couple of changes to the bag as I went.  Instead of the welt pocket, I created this contracting contrast trim for the front zipper
