SewSweetness released a series of patterns earlier this year called Minikins. At 80$ the price seems incredibly steep. I was initially very very hesitant, that’s a massive investment. You get 12 patterns and eventually she’ll be releasing tutorial videos on how to make each pattern. Some patterns are basic that I’ve probably got various versionsContinue reading “Minikins!”
I finally tackled the Sydney Cross Body Bag from Swoon. For some reason the pockets seemed daunting. In the end it was a breeze and I love how it came out! This is a Christmas gift for my daughter, it’s designed to be an artist’s bag with spots for her notebooks and drawing pencils inside.
I finished up this Kenzie Cross Body Sling bag from iThinkSew. I had to heavily edit the pattern, the whole front pocket was designed with raw edges and looked like a mess. This is what I came up with! It’s a relatively small bag, compact, but perfect for a Kindle or an iPad mini. IContinue reading “Kenzie”
I had a lot of fun making this duo! The bag is the Jelani Cross Body from iThinkSew. I really wish I’d have paid more attention, though, because the fact that the accent glitter on the gusset isn’t designed to match up to the accent panels on the front and back annoys me! I’m probablyContinue reading “The Missing Link”
I’d been eyeing a lot of the patterns from iThinkSew and finally bit the bullet and bought the Myles Work Bag. I am so glad I did! I apologize in advance because I’ve actually used this bag for a couple of days before I realized I never took pictures, so it’s a little covered inContinue reading “Working on my Skillz”
One of the ways I like to customize bags is by reducing them in size. Sometimes this is as easy as literally just printing them out a x% smaller, sometimes you have to fuss with extra pieces. One pattern that is super easy to reduce is the Harlow Bag from Little Moo. You’ll remember theContinue reading “Super Sized”
This is the first bag in my November series, #londoncalling. In November I’ll be working to complete a dozen projects that include London themed and Liberty of London fabrics. My Liberty of London projects will feature FQ cuts since I know most people don’t have access to metre yardages. I hope to inspire you toContinue reading “#londoncalling”
This is the 26th and FINAL bag in my #thisishalloween Nightmare Before Christmas themed series for October. I have no idea how, but I managed to make over two dozen bags and wallets this month! This is the commuter sized Annette in a custom print Jack Lightweight Cotton Twill lined in Sally Kona Cotton bothContinue reading “26th”
I really love the Jasmine Sling Bag from Bagstock. I’ve never actually made it as designed, but the basics of the bag are really wonderful for interpreting your own style. And of course, I also have the template set from Tops & Bobbins that makes everything easier. I recently whipped up my first NON-NBC bagContinue reading “It’s a Wonder!”
I’ve been woefully neglecting my blog this month, but for good reason. So far, I’ve completed over 20 NBC themed bag projects! Ready for a little Round-Up?! And? I have four more to go.
